Perlane® - Facial Rejuvenation

Introduction

Perlane® is a revolutionary new injectable skin filler that is especially formulated to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and skin folds.  Perlane contains larger gel particles than other skin fillers (ie. Restylane®), allowing it to give more volume and plumping power.  Whereas surgery may remove excess skin, Perlane allows replacement of the loss of volume that also occurs with the aging process which surgery does not correct.  For some patients, it will delay the need for facial cosmetic surgery by allowing temporary correction of certain age developing folds or volume loss of the face.  Perlane treatments are quick and the results are immediate.  This non-surgical treatment will leave your face and skin looking younger and rejuvenated.

Perlane is an injectable gel.  The gel is made from a safe natural substance, hyaluronic acid.  Perlane’s larger gel particles provide support at the deep layers of the skin.

You will have a consultation with your doctor prior to your treatment.  Your doctor will examine your skin and listen to your concerns.  You should tell your doctor about your expectations.  Together, you will formulate a treatment plan just for you.

Treatment

You can receive Perlane injections in your doctor’s office.  There is no need to wait for a skin test.  The treatment is quick and easy.  Most treatments last less than 30 minutes.

Perlane injections may cause temporary minimal discomfort and swelling.  Most areas of the face can be treated with a topical cream to numb the face first, although certain areas may not require numbing prior to treatment.  However, if you prefer to receive a local anesthetic before your treatment, just mention it to your doctor.  The effects of Perlane last for about 4-10 months, at which time, you may receive another treatment.  It may be recommended to have retreatment within six months to maintain results.  Retreatment most likely will require less amount compared to the initial treatment if performed within 6 months.

"Samantha Casselman was so kind and patient with us. My son is just over 1 yr. old and he was all over her treatment room and she made me feel at ease about it while she helped us devise a treatment plan for his eczema. I highly suggest Samantha as she is very knowledgeable and wants to help."
